Supervised Instructor Therapist - Mississauga, ON

Work setup: Center and community-based. Travel is required
Salary: From $21-24/hr
Schedule:
Monday - Friday between 9am - 6:30PM
Saturday - Sunday between 9AM - 3PM
Take an inside look at what you will do each day:
- Responsible for implementing treatment plans based on best practices.
- Uses systematic methods and behavioural strategies to support client in changing their behaviour
- Contributes to the development of ABA programs established by the BCBA to teach and reinforce a variety of skills for children and youth in a 1:1 and/or small group setting
- Understand the functions of behavior and responding appropriately and safely when situations arise
- Adhere to all ABA training, procedures and protocols
- Ability to adapt to changing conditions and/or routine and provide creative solutions
- Responsible for creating a positive and engaging environment for the client
- Responsible for maintaining the well-being and safety of the client while under their care
- Responsible to track client progress through the collection of data and graphing while keeping clients engaged • Assists in conducting baseline measurements and other indirect measures as instructed by the Lead Therapist/BCaBA/BCBA
- Responsible to complete incident report in Microsoft Teams as per regional requirements within 24 hours of an incident
- Prepares teaching materials and organizes teaching environment
- Documents/records exceptional circumstances, completes ABC logs, and tracks multiple behaviours
- Organize and maintain program binders foreach client to include documentation, data collection, and individual files
- Maintains workspace organization and cleanliness
- Responsible for completing indirect work under the direction of the clinician in the appropriate time allotted and framework expected.
Here is what you will need to be successful
- A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for daily use
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Experience working with children and youth with complex needs and/or developmental disabilities will be considered an asset
- Enrollment in or degree from a post-secondary program of Psychology, Educational Psychology, Special Education, or another related field is an asset
- Autism Spectrum Disorder specific coursework, training or workshops an asset
- Experience working with clients who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder or other developmental disabilities
- Available for hourly shifts that can build to full time
- Experience delivering services in home and community
- Willingness to travel for in-home/community sessions, including availability on weekends as needed.
