Community Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
As a Community Behaviour Analyst at Monarch House you will be responsible for assessing, designing, monitoring, and supervising ABA interventions for youth and adults with dual-diagnosis, ASD, other developmental disabilities, or other learning and behaviour needs. You will be responsible primarily for clients in Monarch House’s complex behaviour community team.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $85,000.00-$102,000.00 per year
Work schedule: Flexible with some evenings required (e.g., 9am - 5pm 3 days per week / 10am - 6pm 2 days per week) based on the needs of the community, some weekends required
Work setting: Hybrid, community and centre based across the GTA. Travel is expected within this role.
Responsibilities:
- Assess client needs and caregiver priorities
- Conduct Functional Analyses in clinic and community settings
- Develop, monitor, and supervise a behavior support plan for each client, targeting areas of skill acquisition and problem behaviour reduction
- Provide training and regular feedback reviews for ABA Therapists and Lead Therapists
- Provide training and regular feedback with community team members
- Lead team meetings and work collaboratively with community leads, caregivers and other professionals
- Develop and update treatment plans and/or behaviour support plans as required
- Maintain knowledge in current evidence-based practices
- Maintain knowledge of regulations including quality assurance measures (QAM), and CYFSA.
- Supervise graduate students pursuing certification and other ABA students (e.g., BST/ABS), if appropriate
- Supervise and mentor Supervised ABA Therapists
Skills, Requirements, and Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
- At least 4 years’ experience working in ASD and/or Developmental Disabilities
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- Current police check for the vulnerable sector
- Masters degree in Applied Behaviour Analysis or related field with ABA coursework
- Certified as a BCBA™ and/or Registered Behaviour Analyst
- Experience with dual diagnosis and complex behaviour
- Experience with QAM and CYFSA
- Experience with conducting Functional Analyses and functional behaviour assessments
- Experience with using ABLLS-R, VB-MAPP, and/or EFL assessment tools
- Evening and weekend hours may be required based on the needs of the individuals supported
